Park

How cool would this be for Ponsonby Park? A Rainbow garden! ...

This is what a farm ought to look like. This is a picture of The Eden Project in Cornwall, England. Unlike conventional monoculture planting, this polyculture system diversifies the soil life, making plants less susceptible to pests and disease.

We look forward to having 'Pollinator pathway working bees' at Ponsonby Park - sometime in the not too distant future we hope.
It's such a great way to get to know others in your local community whilst helping to sustain something greater than the sum of its parts.
Check out the Hakanoa Reserve this Sunday and enjoy the buzz (pun intended!)

Pollinator Path Protectors - Maintenance Day

February 17, 2018, 11:30am - February 17, 2018, 1:30pm

So it looks like this storm isn't going to pass any time soon, and I don't want our passionate volunteers getting wet and cold, so we're going to postpone the event to next weekend - hopefully the rain will take a break by then. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm and toasty! Everyone who passes the park and pulls out a weed, gives the flowers a little drink or restocks the wall is making a huge difference. Without you we wouldn't be able to do what we do, so we would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU!!! We are going to be down at the Pollinator Park for an informal maintenance day in Hakanoa Reserve this weekend, Sunday 11th February 12-3pm if you would like to join us! Catch up with Andrea and the team and get all the latest goss on what's going to be happening with Pollinator Paths this year and keep NZ's first Pollinator Park looking beautiful!
